ST.
JOHN BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL - February 2, 2005 |
By
Charli Harshbarger
Welcome
back to the 2004-2005 Hollywood Knights season!
The first game at Whittier High School had some
of the top names in Hollywood Knights history
including Nick Carter and Howie D of the
Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter, Jesse Metcalfe,
Thad Luckinbill, Arlen Escarpeta, Cylk Cozart,
with a half-time performance by Jillian. For more
information on this game, check out game photos
in the media section.
The Knights won the second game of the season
against the faculty and staff of St. John Bosco
High School in Bellflower. The Knights were down
by four points going into half-time but pulled
through in the end with an eleven point lead over
the Braves, with a final score of 70-59.
Names included on the roster were Cylk Cozart,
Romeo and Dejai (Tha Goodfellas) of Power 106,
Michael Bergin, Thad Luckinbill, Jesse Metcalfe,
Tyler Hoechlin, James Hyde, Khleo Thomas, and
newcomer Nana Gbewonyo from the movie "Coach
Carter." Alisa Reyes was present in support
of the Knights and Jillian premiered a new song,
along with the crowd favorite, Party."
Cylk Cozart came sporting a new haircut, getting
rid of the mohawk he sported the last game. Thad
Luckinbill was brought down in the third quarter
with an injured ankle; we hope you get better
soon! Also, during the 3rd quarter, the very
generous Power 106 staff had a free throw contest
from half-court, but due to no one making the
basket, it boiled down to a rock-paper-scissors
challenge, and one lucky student walked away with
their very own skateboard from Ezekiel.
The next game is slated for March 2nd at El Monte
High School in El Monte. |
